Stages of Adjustment

It is said you can't go home again. Well, you can. Just don't expect it to be the same as when you left. It can be called re-entry stress, reverse culture shock, or re-entry shock.
It occurs when people living abroad for some time find themselves having difficulty fitting back into the culture they left. It can often be just as stressful as the initial transition when settling abroad.

Workshops address:

  • Understanding the Four Stages of Adjustment
  • "Why does it feel so strange when we're going back to the same house?"
  • Techniques for dealing with re-entry adjustment
